See The Moment Man Who Married His Sister In Anambra Underwent Spiritual Cleansing With 7 Virgins (Photos)

Chiadikobi Ezeibekwe, a mathematics teacher at a secondary school in Ekwulobia, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, shock his community and the country at large after marrying his 17-year-old biological sister, Chibuzor Ezeibekwe.

The marriage was said to have been heavily criticized by the villagers and also the traditional rulers.

Due to that effect, the 25-year-old man underwent spiritual cleansing weeks after he renounced the controversial marriage.

The event was held on Saturday, March 24th, as the entire family of Lewis Ezeibekwe, underwent a spiritual cleansing conducted by the Parish Priest of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Ekwulobia, Rev. Fr. Ignatius Onwuatuegwu.

According to reports, Chiadikobi Ezeibekwe had claimed he married his sister because it was a clear instruction from God.

“We didn’t just jump into this marriage thing because we can do it, God showed it to me and not only me, it was shown to other people in this family.

God asked me to marry my sister yes, and I didn’t propose to my sister.

Sometimes you may have vision, you just keep it, and in the process she got the same vision and spoke out because if she had not had the vision, I would not have been able to speak about it.

“I have tried to feel ashamed, guilty or sober since this thing happened, but no way.

I feel fine and at home. I have asked God to make me feel bad and guilty if I have done evil, but I am not feeling any of such,” he had earlier said.

During the cleansing, eight members of the Ezeibekwe family knelt down before the traditional ruler, traditional prime minister and elders of the community and apologised to the entire Agba Ekwulobia community.

Chiadikaobi also asked for forgiveness from the community for marrying his sister.

After the cleansing rites, seven girls said to be virgins, clad in white dresses, used seven palm frond branches to sweep the Ezeibekwe compound.

Obasanjo made this known while advising women to play more roles in politics.

The 2017/2018 Harmattan Semester Began in November 2017 (November, December, January, February, March) 5 months already gone and they promised the 100&200L student.

With these events, it suffices to say that the University of Ilorin which once paraded itself as the enviable Spartan of a stable academic calendar to the whole of Nigeria is at a loss of administrative suggestions and control as the months in a semester gradually drag to seven (7) without a vacation date in sight.

Then it is safe to assume that the university is debilitated, prostrated and flattened to smithereens of priorities, vision and objectivity.

Regardless of what the authorities will want the students to believe, the University is helpless and hapless.

This is borne out of the fact that the University of Ilorin will never deem it obligated to weigh its options before it pronounces its ‘constituted judgement’ over its students.

A university with the most students population is expected to put its students at the forefront of its decisions.

It is expected to impart learning and character with friendly, communicable decisions that do not only extol the rights of its students but also their welfarism.

However, reverse is the case as students are nothing to a great adherent of its edicts and a celebrant of hedonism but mere figments in the microcosm of its imagination.

We are effigies in the terrain of Unilorin’s Mephistophelean rules. We are insignificant in its focused observation.

And how do we determine this? Countless times the university had had to transfer its shortcomings on the students, thus making them vulnerable and insecure.

We the students are to bear the brunt of an unfortunate backwardness. And who cares if we pay dearly for it?

Just recently a student was Shot at Oke-Odo by a fellow student that we have to wonder how much more will go with a torturous calendar that has the tendency of causing one frustration.

The frustration is embedded in factors like insufficiency of food and money that are necessary for the upkeep.

Most students are at a stage where they hardly have something to put to mouth with crime and violence tending to an increment, yet the university, in order to buttress its benevolence, keeps pushing academic activities into the everlasting.

Prevalent of the university is its lack of proper timing and adequate planning.

The university experimented on varieties of dates for its matriculation only to have it postponed to the 29 of March (Matriculation At The Last week Of The 5th month).

The university earlier slated a test on the 26 of March, only to have it withdrawn to a later date because the earlier date falls on Easter it never predicted.

The thoughtful University wished its penultimate students would acquire entrepreneurial skills and thus mandated a day-out-of-two-weeks training for them to learn carpentry, tailoring, rice cultivation and others.

The university which has enforced that the training is necessary also was quick to think that the charges for it should be necessary because students would need materials it didn’t foresee.

An initially whopping #5000 was proposed to be paid within two days before it was overturned to #1000.

A #1000 charge was going, going, going, as the authority and the students entered a free bargain on worthlessness until it was gone. The university even was beaten to its own mediocrity.

Nevertheless, we remain ever optimistic that the new administration will come to the light of our questions.

We are enduring because we believe a school that teaches probitas doctrina will soon learn how to teach itself the fundamentals of it.

Conclusively, we are hopeful things will turn out for the best because home— this home, this once great home— can never be run away from.

Former Catalan president Carles Puigdemont arrested in Germany

Carles Puigdemont is the former leader of Catalonia

Former Catalan president Carles Puigdemont has been detained in Germany on a European arrest warrant.

Police intercepted Mr Puigdemont near the Danish border as the ousted politician attempted to return to Belgium, according to his lawyer, Jaume Alonso-Cuevillas.

Mr Puigdemont "was arrested today at 11:19 am by Schleswig-Holstein's highway patrol force," said a German police spokesman.

"He is now in police custody", added the spokesman.

Mr Puigdemont's lawyer said on Saturday that the former president had slipped out of Finland. He had been in the country since Thursday for talks with MPs.

A Spanish Supreme Court judge reactivated an international arrest warrant for him on Friday.

Finland's National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) confirmed on Saturday it had received a European arrest warrant for "a Spanish citizen visiting Finland". The NBI said they were unaware of the person's location.

"The president was going to Belgium to put himself, as always, at the disposal of Belgian justice," said Joan Maria Pique, Mr Puigdemont's spokesman.

Mr Puigdemont was sacked by the government of Spanish PM Mariano Rajoy

Mr Puigdemont is wanted by Spain on charges of "rebellion" and "sedition" over his involvement in the Catalan referendum in October last year.

The region unilaterally declared independence from Spain.

Spain's government sacked Mr Puigdemont and his entire administration before dissolving the parliament as a result.

Catalonia has been under direct rule from Madrid since the end of October.

Mr Puigdemont fled to Belgium hours before Spain's attorney general asked for charges to be brought against him and other members of his cabinet.

The crime of rebellion carries a maximum sentence of 30 years' imprisonment, while sedition carries a 15-year penalty.

‘They Put Chemicals In Our Private Part’- Libya Returnee Speaks

Seven Libyan returnees at the weekend recounted their ordeal in Libya before their rescue.

They spoke in Abeokuta, Ogun State, at a session with former President, Olusegun Obasanjo during the maiden Youth Migration Summit themed “Curbing Youth Irregular Migration.”

One of the victims, Ubong Rosemary, mother of four, shared her story.

She said: “I am a native of Delta. I was living in Lagos before I lost my husband in an car crash. After I lost him; things became very hard for me and my children.

“I could not pay house rent or school fees for my children, so my children dropped out and I went back to help my mother who was a food vendor in the village in her one room apartment.

“We had a lot issues and quarreled. She had an accident and at point could not cook.

“I decided to go somewhere far because I could not provide for my kids. I wanted to go far from my predicament and met a lady who introduced me to a Madam.

“On the way to Libya; I lost my way and contact.

They were just carrying me with the people- I was like somebody lost. I didn’t know where I was going.

“I made it to Sabat and saw our fellow men and women selling women into prostitution. I was sold in Tripoli and not Sabat.

“I was not able to pay the cross money over the Mediterranean. They sold me to connection house. Someone else bought me.

“We were there for days until they pushed three boats into the Mediterranean. I saw two boats capsized before my very own eyes. Someone kidnapped us and jailed us.

“I was about to be killed as it was the very day I was to be killed that IOM raided us and saved us from death.

“What they did to us was very bad. The use sponge along with harmful chemicals like shampoo to clean the private parts of women.

“They push it into the women’s wombs and the wombs fall out, after that, they will put the womb back in again and urge women to continue to sleep with the men there.”

Rosemary said that she could not forgive herself for abandoning her four children with her mother who was still alive and taking care of them in Edo state.

Elders, leaders of socio-political organisations and key stakeholders from the northern part of Nigeria, have scored President Muhammadu Buhari low and rejected him as the candidate to run for the 2019 general elections.

The leaders who met on Saturday in Kaduna, insisted that Buhari must be replaced by competent persons.

Those present included the leaders of the Northern Elders’ Forum, Arewa Youths Consultative Forum, Borno Elders Forum, Supreme Council for Sharia in Nigeria, among other groups.

In a communique read by a member of the Northern Elders Forum and Chief of Staff to Nigeria’s Senate President, Dr Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, the northern leaders stated that the current administration had not demonstrated enough strong will to tackle the Boko Haram insurgency and herdsmen/farmers’ clashes.

“We demand immediate and decisive steps to improve the security of lives and economic assets in the North by the federal and state governments. Too many communities are at the mercy of attacks from sundry groups of criminals who appear to have unchallenged access to space and weapons.

“The Summit noted that despite notable successes by the administration against the Boko Haram insurgency in the North East, many Northern communities still live under its threat. In many other parts of the North, communities are routinely exposed to attacks from shadowy killers, and suspicion and anger at known and suspected killers are pitching Northerners against each other. Armed bandits terrorize rural communities almost at will, while kidnappings and abductions have assumed alarming notoriety as crimes.

“The summit asserts the rights of all Northerners to examine all options in political choices they will make in 2019. The leadership selection process must be critically interrogated to present the best leader to Nigeria as a whole. No one should take the North for granted, and it is not for sale. It will resist shedding its blood for any candidate and will critically scrutinize all politicians who will seek our mandate. At this stage, all options are on the table, and politicians who have betrayed the hopes and mandates of our people should be prepared to suffer rejection, in the same manner, the votes of the North rejected the attempt to continue with impunity, corruption and indifference of the previous regime,” Baba-Ahmed stated.

While Wizkid was winning awards, Skales was part of the cast that would always stand behind Wizkidwhile he collected the award. While we thank God for giving him a lease of life at Baseline Music, his stay at EME was an unforgettable experience.

Worse still, EME had to terminate his contract 😰

2. Viktoh (YBNL)

Viktoh‘s case is similar to Skales. Signed first before Lil Kesh, but how did Lil Kesh manage to “blow” before Viktoh? Has Viktoh ever dropped a hit song?

While Skales has has even manged to establish himself after his EME experience, Viktoh‘s career is as good as dead. We don’t even know if it is Rap or RnB that is Viktoh’s genre.

Has Viktoh sang up to 10 tracks in his entire career. His last known “almost hot song” dates back to 2016 and he’s not even on the music radar any longer.

3. Sugarboy (G-Worldwide)

The curse of been signed first comes into play once again. Signed before Kiss Daniel, Sugarboy actually is a good singer with immense talent.

Anyone who listened to Hola Hola would attest to this. His verse on Raba also stood out. But after that, it seems his charm on us expired.

He dropped an album last year, barely few people even knew Sugarboy dropped an album. No hit song, and compared to Kiss Daniel‘s “New Era“, we don’t even know the title of Sugarboy‘s album not to talk of the songs on the album.

Surely, Emperor Jeezy has to consider pulling the plug on Sugarboy 😩

4. Skibii (Five Star Music)

Probably the only thing we know about Skiibi was his death and resurrection. He wasn’t buried. Just because Five Star Music wanted him to “blow“, they had to pull off a great PR stunt that will shake grounds.

Even after that event, Skiibi career experienced a downward trend. His music wasn’t appealing, and the whole blame was put on his PR stunt done for him at the beginning of his career.

“How not to start a music career” eventually, he was booted out of Five star Music. Skiibii should invest in Clothing line, he won’t regret it 😂😂

5. Ichaba (DMW)

Ichaba wouldn’t have been on this list if he had learned well and studied Davido well. No one probably knew Icahaba until he joined DMW.

His career received a boost when he became affiliated to Davido. What we expected was hits on hits. Problem many had with Ichaba was that his voice wasn’t even coherent and appealing.

He didn’t tailor his music after the latest trends of the industry’s. While the industry was vibing to Pon Pon, Ichaba was giving us another thing. His music received less attention and low traction as well.

The DMW management noticed this and decided to evict him out of the label. Unfruitful movement is a no no in the DMW crew.

'Terrorist' crocodile killed for blocking hospital entrance in Zimbabwe

Authorities in Zimbabwe on Thursday shot and killed a huge crocodile that had blocked the entrance of a hospital located in the town of Hwange.

The reptile had stationed itself at the gate of the St. Patrick’s hospital preventing people from entering or leaving the facility for about two hours.

Tinashe Farawo, spokesman of Zimbabwe Parks and wildlife authority defended the shooting saying the reptile had been put down “because it had become a threat to life.”

Community members expressed surprise at incident given that the closest large water body was estimated to be some 10 kilometers from the hospital.

According to a local portal, Bulawayo24.com, a community leader, one Chief Shana averred that based on local belief, there was a suspicion the crocodile was pursuing someone it had failed to finish off earlier in the day.

The hospital authorities, however, said no patient had been admitted with crocodile-related injuries.

The Parks and Wildlife official explained to AFP news agency that the increase in rains meant there had been several recent reports of crocodile attacks in the country.

One woman was killed in the capital Harare as she crossed a stream, while another boy escaped in the south-east of the country.

The lawmaker representing Kaduna Central, Senator Shehu Sani, has warned that the humiliation of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, the All Progressives Congress, APC, the national leader, Bola Tinubu, by the federal government, will make tough the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari.

He stated that the ruling APC failed to accord Saraki and TInubu the respect they deserve for their contributions to the 2015 victory of the present government.

Recall that Senator Oluremi Tinubu, wife of the national leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, had stated that her husband was, “trashed” after the party won the 2015 elections, adding that the former Lagos governor was sidelined despite his efforts towards ensuring that APC won the polls.

Speaking with Saturday Sun, Sani said, “I must be frank with you, Tinubu has endured a lot of humiliation under the present administration. He was never much consulted, never much recognised as somebody who sacrificed his energy, time and resources to bring the party to where it is.

“It is rather unfortunate that after the party won and the government established, some people started calling some people criminals, thieves and people of questionable character.

“The South-West political leaders who contributed to the victory of the party have been treated with disdain and contempt. That is in inimical to the interest of the South-West.”

‘Imo State Needs 20 University’- Okorocha Says

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has said that the state needs no fewer than 20 universities to take care of the teeming population of qualified JAMB applicants from the state who are yearly denied admissions because of certain unfavourable polices in Nigerian.

The governor made the disclosure while speaking with the founder of the Lord’s Chosen Church, Pastor Lazarus Muoka, who paid him a courtesy visit yesterday, at the Government House, Owerri, with other leaders of the church. Muoka was in government house to inform the governor that his church has come to establish a world-class university in the state. The governor who directed that land should be allocated to the church immediately for the purpose also gave the church the sum of N10 million to enable it to clear the site.

He stated that for the seventh time, the state continues to lead in the number of JAMB applicants with wide margin. Okorocha noted that in 2018, for instance, the state topped the JAMB application chart with 92,980 applications and added that out of this number, it was unlikely that more than 5,000 of the applicantswould secure admission. The governor remarked that since 2012, the state has been recording between 131,000 and 92,000 applications in JAMB, leading in that regard.

Rap mogul, Russell Simmons slammed with another rape suit

Hip-hop legend, Russell Simmons was on Friday slammed with a $10-million rape lawsuit filed by a woman in Los Angeles, the latest in a string of accusations against him ranging from harassment to rape.  

The unidentified woman said in the complaint filed in the Los Angeles County Superior Court that the mogul raped her in a hotel after the two met at a concert and then went to a club.  At least nine women have now come forward with misconduct allegations against the 60-year-old Simmons.  

In January, aspiring filmmaker Jennifer Jarosik sued him for alleged rape, seeking $5 million as she called for a reckoning in the hip-hop industry on the mistreatment of women.  In light of the most recent suit, Simmons released a statement saying “I vehemently deny all the allegations made against me. They have shocked me to my core as I have never been abusive or violent in any way in my relations with women,” he said in the statement, noting that he had submitted to and passed several lie detector tests concerning such allegations.  

In the latest complaint, the woman said Simmons lured her into his hotel room, threatened her, and then “threw her on the bed and raped her.”  She said she first met the rap impresario at a concert she had attended with her son, and that Simmons had invited her to an after-party.  Filmmaker Jarosik alleged in her suit that Simmons who stepped down from all of his business roles after the first allegations against him surfaced propositioned her for sex.  When she said no, he allegedly hit and raped her.

Simmons was an enormously influential figure in popularizing hip-hop, co-founding the Def Jam label that brought rap acts such as the Beastie Boys, LL Cool J and Public Enemy to a broad US audience.  

The recent spate of allegations against him surfaced as the #MeToo movement gained steam, with scores of women speaking out over harassment, assault and rape in the wake of disgraced film tycoon Harvey Weinstein’s downfall.

Goodluck Jonathan Returns To Sierra Leone To Monitor Presidential Election

Former President, Goodluck Jonathan has returned to Sierra Leone to observe the country’s presidential run-off polls scheduled for Tuesday, March 27.

A statement issued by Mr Ikechukwu Eze, the spokesman to the former president, noted that Jonathan, who is leading the Electoral Institute for Sustainable Democracy in Africa (EISA) Election Observation Mission, arrived Freetown on Friday.

Jonathan also led EISA to the first round of the elections on March 7, in which none of the candidates polled the required 55 per cent of votes to win at the first ballot.

EISA had declared the process of the March 7 general elections as peaceful and credible.

The mission in its interim report presented to the media on March 9 added that the elections were “conducted substantially in line with sub-regional, continental and international standards.”

It also observed that voter turnout was impressive while the conduct of electoral personnel was professional.

Jonathan, who presented the report also appealed to the people of Sierra Leone and all stakeholders to remain calm until the final electoral processes were concluded.

Apple proposes 13 new emojis to represent people with disabilities

Apple has proposed a set of new emoji to provide better representation of people with disabilities.

The 13 emoji include guide dogs, hearing aids, prosthetic limbs and people using canes and wheelchairs.

It is hoped that the emoji will be approved and released by next year

In a statement, the tech giant said: "Apple is requesting the addition of emoji to better represent individuals with disabilities.

"Currently, emoji provide a wide range of options, but may not represent the experiences of those with disabilities.

"One in seven people around the world has some form of disability, whether that be a physical disability involving vision, hearing or loss of physical motor skills, or a more hidden, invisible disability."

Apple said its proposed additions are "not meant to be a comprehensive list of all possible depictions of disabilities - it is intended to be a starting point".

Apple worked with various charities on the new designs

While coming up with the new emoji, the tech giant worked with various disability charities including the American Council of the Blind, the Cerebral Palsy Foundation and the National Association of the Deaf.

If approved, the emoji are likely to be released early in 2019.

The plans have received a warm reaction on social media, with Jordan Samuel tweeting: "This is awesome! It's great to see support for the disabled community despite never using emojis it's a great addition."

Charles Matthews wrote: "At last Apple proposing more diverse representation in emojis.I am amazed it has taken so long."

Trump Signs New Order Banning Transgender Individuals From The US Military

President Donald Trump has signed a new order banning transgender individuals from the US military.

The memorandum said transgender individuals with a history of gender dysphoria, defined as “those who may require substantial medical treatment, including through medical drugs or surgery,” are disqualified from military service “except under certain limited circumstances.”

It added that the secretaries of defence and homeland security “may exercise their authority to implement any appropriate policies concerning military service by transgender individuals.”

The White House said Defence Secretary Jim Mattis had found that individuals with a history or diagnosis of gender dysphoria presented a risk to military effectiveness.


“This new policy will enable the military to apply well-established mental and physical health standards ... equally to all individuals who want to join and fight for the best military force the world has ever seen,” it said.
